Tanya Miller is a respected trial attorney, a proven leader as Chair of the Georgia House Democratic Caucus and a fierce advocate for Georgians. Her career has been defined by one core principle: the law should serve people, not political interests.

Whether prosecuting a complex homicide case or drafting legislation to support small businesses, Tanya brings an unmatched legal background and an unwavering commitment to fairness. She believes that competence and quality—not backroom deals—should be what moves our state forward. As a State Representative, she has already begun this work. As Attorney General, she will expand it to protect every family and business in Georgia.

Tanya’s story begins in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was raised by her mother, a proud union worker. From her, Tanya learned the values of hard work, perseverance and integrity. This upbringing instilled in her a fundamental belief that has guided her entire career: every person, regardless of their background, deserves a real chance to succeed.

This conviction is the engine behind her public service—a deep-seated commitment to level the playing field and fight for those who are too often overlooked.

On the Front Lines of Justice

After earning her undergraduate and law degrees from Case Western Reserve University, Tanya built a career defending our communities. She served as a federal prosecutor and later as a supervising attorney in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where she was an undefeated homicide prosecutor. This firsthand experience with the human impact of public policy solidified her commitment to fighting for vulnerable communities. In 2022, her alma mater recognized her distinguished career by inducting her into its School of Law Hall of Fame.

A Champion for Small Business

At the State Capitol, Tanya is a leading voice for economic fairness. She took direct action to break down systemic barriers for minority, women and veteran-owned businesses by co-sponsoring HR 487. She continues to lead the charge against legislative efforts that protect the record profits of large insurance companies at the expense of Georgia's Main Street businesses, fighting to prevent unfair premium hikes.
